Scarborough Archers was formed in the 1930's and was the first archery club in the town.

Over the years Scarborough Archers have been based at various different locations including North Cliff, Raincliffe School, Scarborough College and McCain's Sports Field.

Scarborough archers club members enjoy excellent outdoor facilities at McCain's Sports Club on Osgodby Lane, near Cayton, during the summer months.

During the winter months, (Early October till mid April), the club shoots indoors at Scalby School Sports Hall.

Archery is a sport that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy. Many of our club members shoot competitively and have been successful, whilst other members prefer to shoot at club level and just enjoy unwinding in this way.

Membership continues to grow, with over 20 adult members, and several junior members.

Archers of all disciplines are welcome at Scarborough Archers, although recurve and compound are the types of bows most commonly employed at the club.
